Taking a break to blog...

Sorry for the lack of posts lately...been busy in my little world lately!  WHEW!  Wanted to take a minute to share the latest custom window and info on the upcoming giveaway.  I spent yesterday working on a window frame turned jewelry board/shelf.  Really turned out cute....pictures just don't show all the cuteness.  Really was fun to work on...but really need to get more focused on getting some of my bigger pieces done. May not see me for awhile once I get those really going.

Now for the giveaway...I know everyone wants to know about that.  FUN STUFF!  Okay, this weeks giveaway will be a Valentine Chalkboard with Rosettes.  I will get the pictures and the link up soon...but I am having problems getting the link to upload to my blogger tonight.  Maybe my eyes are just tired...that could definitely be the problem, user error.

A quick view...

Here is a quick look at a few things that are going to be going up soon.  Been working on a few windows, still thinking of ways to finish them.  Any suggestions...

dreaming of windows...

I have spent the last 3 days knee deep in window frames...more sanding, scraping and cleaning.  But I am making progress and hopefully will have enough knocked out to be in my first craft show.  Tomorrow I am hoping to start on some wooden tool boxes, hmm that may have to wait.  Oh and then there are the gourds...don't even know what directions to go with those.  Any suggestions???  And lets not forget I need to be thinking about getting the shop opened up and ready for business...okay now that my brain is on overload.  Hopefully I will have a free second to take some pictures tomorrow of my window progress, stay tuned!!!

window love...

Love love love how this frame worked out...kept it simple. This is the first one I have done with a shelf and worried it wouldn't work out. Would make a great message board or I was thinking maybe a place to hang jewelry...??? Tomorrow more windows to scrap, clean, sand...paint, sand and whatever else I can work in. Then when the windows get boring, its onto gourds...yes, gourds! Good Stuff!

a new view...

My current love interest is old, dingy, eclectic junk! Anything in need of a new purpose and home.   I am totally loving these old windows and window frames.  Currently my projects consist of cleaning, scrapping, painting...repeat, repeat...and then giving these windows a "new view".  Some have the original glass, some don't, some have cool hardware, some are just really ugly...but they are all unique.

One of my favorites has stamping across the top that reads "Tallahassee" (yes, we live close).  It gives the old frame some personality all its own, its also one of my favorite redo's so far!  (more pics to follow soon).
